I work closely with my clients to build relationships based upon mutual trust and respect, together creating a therapeutic environment in which they can feel safe and understood. My work is focused on children and adolescents, although I also work with parents. I am trained in a variety of treatment approaches, including EMDR, CBT, attachment, mindfulness, and trauma-informed therapies. This allows me to choose the best approach for each client. Along with my clients (and their parents, when appropriate), we establish clear treatment goals, and work together to achieve them. Specialties include Anxiety, Depression, ADHD and Trauma. I love clinical work because it allows me to directly impact the lives of individuals who are struggling and/or suffering. I help my clients grow through challenges to access their untapped strengths and learn to see their true ability and promise. Watching clients become "unstuck" and able to move forward in a positive way makes this work deeply fulfilling. I received my MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, and spent 7 years as Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Southern VT College. I consult with area schools to help them respond to students' emotional needs in a connected, compassionate and effective way and I am the author of several publications on the mental health of children and adolescents.
