About

I am a clinical psychologist with 30 years of experience. I earned my PhD from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine (Division of Psychology) and have worked in various clinical settings at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. The past 20 years I have devoted myself exclusively to my private practice. The primary difficulties I treat involve anxiety, stress, depression, and conflict in relationships. I work collaboratively with patients in identifying problem areas and therapy goals. Depending on an individual's unique circumstances, therapy might be as brief as a few sessions or as lengthy as many years.

Depending on the specific nature of a patient's problems/symptoms, and in active consultation with the patient, my mode of therapy could range from insight-oriented (helping one grasp underlying obstacles to reaching one's fullest potential) to cognitive-behavioral (acquiring practical, problem-solving and adaptive coping skills) approaches.

Additionally, I also offer diagnostic evaluations and crisis intervention services (seeing suicidal or self-injurious patients ASAP). With individuals who do not require immediate attention, I am typically able to schedule a first appointment within a week of being contacted.
