Healing rarely occurs in isolation. As your therapist, I aim to empower you with the tools and knowledge to move through obstacles while staying connected to your personal identity and values. I am a trauma-informed, sex-positive therapist who works with adults and couples. In individual therapy, we will create goals and a plan to help you move towards the life you want to live. In couples' therapy, we will work together to identify your relationship strengths and practice skills to improve communication, de-escalate conflict, and enhance trust and intimacy. I use evidence-based treatments (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. With couples, I use the Gottman Method. My specialties include anxiety, depression, life stress, women’s issues, ADHD, Autism & neurodivergence, somatic symptoms, LGBTQIA+ individuals, PTSD & CPTSD, and bipolar disorder. I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed my predoctoral internship at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at University of California Los Angeles. To stay informed of the latest research, I regularly attend educational seminars and am a member of multiple professional organizations.
