I am a licensed psychotherapist and a lawyer. During my time serving as the first External Director of the Stanford Law School Wellness Project, I founded and co-hosted the WellnessCast, a monthly podcast about wellness and mental health in the legal profession. In my Bay Area private practice, I work with lawyers, physicians, and other professionals to increase well-being by providing a non-judgmental space to explore strengths, challenges, vulnerabilities, and anxieties. Through a process of engaged listening, inquiry, and collaborative thinking, we will gain insight into your situation and work toward meaningful change. Law and medicine are two of the most intellectually & emotionally demanding professions; yet, lawyers and doctors are expected never to show vulnerability or imperfection. When people become distant from their emotions, they have trouble recognizing them, let alone acknowledging or expressing them. Therapy can help reconnect you to yourself. I specialize also in co-parenting counseling for those working through a separation or divorce who need compassionate assistance to help navigate the challenges of managing life in two households and resolving co-parenting issues as peacefully as possible. Outcomes for children are improved when conflict is low and parent functioning is high.
