Hello! My name is Sarah Starr and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor who works for Christian Counseling Services. I am currently being trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. My goal is to be a supportive, empathic, engaging, and calm presence in therapy. All adults deserve a place to be heard and accepted. Teens deserve a place of stability, independence, and exploration. And kids deserve a place of curiosity, creativity, and playfulness–a place where they can truly be kids! I incorporate the trauma-based modality, EMDR, to support my clients in processing their life experiences and moving into a healthier way of living and functioning. I have a "bottom-up” counseling approach, rather than a “top-down”. I will look for the root issues connected to the presenting symptoms to bring healing! It can be a scary step to reach out, but healing is near! I would love to be a part of your healing journey towards mental health and overall wellness!
