I bring a mindfulness approach to psychotherapy, emphasizing an open, accepting, and non-judgmental awareness of oneself in the moment. By bringing awareness and compassion to your thoughts and feelings, you are able to deepen your understanding of yourself and create more meaningful relationships in the world. My style is gentle, patient and honest, having deep respect for the nature of the human condition and pace of meaningful growth. Our work together will encourage and challenge you in finding your way through fear and pain. While I have training and am able to help a diverse population, I have a special interest in working with women and men committed to healing issues related to family of origin, anxiety, trauma, and insecure relationship patterns. I understand that it is important to find a therapist with whom you feel a comfortable connection, that's why I begin with a brief initial phone consultation to help you best determine if I may be the right therapist for you. From there, together we can decide to move forward to schedule an initial session.
