In my experience, approaching treatment with the dual aim of increasing insight and self-awareness as well as behavior modification and tangible goals yields the best results. I offer both reflective as well as pragmatic resources. If we decide to work together, we will identify the specific issues that brought you to seek help and keep your therapy focused on these issues. If you're stuck in unwanted behaviors, an unhealthy relationship, emotional ruts, or just stuck in yourself, let's talk and see if we might be a match. In addition to being a competent generalist, I have specialized training in dealing sexual compulsivity and issues of sexual health and integrity. I have worked extensively in addiction treatment, but am by no means limited to working with people struggling with addiction and the people who love them. Also able to work with folks dealing with trauma. Recently it has become evident that many people with more conservative political views are less inclined to seek therapy due to a fear the therapist will judge them or try to change their values to better match their own. I am not here to push any agenda on any of my clients, and have cultural competency working with a large range of political beliefs.
