I believe in seeing and treating the whole child, removing the limits of labels without losing the focus of specific diagnosis and therapy in order to help translate the child’s challenges into their unique gifts. Often, challenges that surface in childhood are opportunities for growth and learning. They represent a chance for the child to find their authentic sense of self, of others, and of their place in the world. When these challenges are approached in a loving, supportive, and strength based way we can help the child grow more confidently into themselves. I offer support for a wide range of issues relating to children’s family life, social interactions, and school life. I work with families who find themselves confronted with transition, grief and loss, behavioral and school challenges, anxiety, depression, and strength based support for neuro divergent (autistic, attention deficit hyperactive) children. I believe in meeting the needs of children in a safe, collaborative, and compassionate manner by building on their existing strengths and resiliency in addition to offering support to the people and structures that surround them. It is my professional goal to effect genuine and positive change in the lives of children, adolescents and their families.
