I believe that life transitions are a time to celebrate life and an opportunity for great growth. As director of the BLOOM Maternal and Infant Wellness Program, I specialize in supporting women and their families through the transition to parenthood. A unique and often challenging time punctuated with endings and new beginnings. Women and their families need and deserve to be nurtured and supported during this time. My areas of expertise include: The prevention and treatment of pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety, promoting healthy parent-child attachment, as well as strengthening and “baby-proofing” relationships. I can help with pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, grief and loss issues (including infertility, pregnancy and neonatal loss), birth trauma resolution, foster care and adoption issues, and planning your birth experience (including preparing abuse survivors for birth). Counseling is also available for children, adolescents, and adults. The Bloom Program at Integrated Therapy Services NW supports individuals and families before and after the arrival of a child. Counseling, education and support services are available to help with the transition to parenthood, to help grow lasting bonds, to nurture parents, and to find hope.
