My practice is rooted in authenticity, passion, and a core belief that the human spirit is resilient and bountiful. I specialize in individual interpersonal issues and couples treatment, as well as a range of difficulties including depression & anxiety, relationship issues, loss & grief, medical diagnoses and trauma. The decision to begin therapy takes courage and intention, and I am committed to creating a safe and focused environment for exploration and insight. In individual therapy we will explore underlying feelings and themes that leave you feeling trapped in old destructive patterns. With couples, we will work to move beyond reactionary and defensive postures so partners can truly hear one another, and work towards renewed connection and a more meaningful relationship. After graduating from Columbia University, I worked at CancerCare and Cornell Medical College, where I provided therapy to employees of major medical institutions. Post-graduate training includes The Ackerman Institute for the Family and currently The AEDP Institute, a psychodynamic experiential model with a focus in healing & personal growth.
