Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I approach working with all clients recognizing that they are the experts on their lives, and with curiosity regarding their lived experiences. I am compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental in my approach. I use the modality most appropriate for the client, including Narrative, Relational, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. We will work together to identify the issues you bring to therapy, including grief work, the inner coping strategies you already possess, and discover what additional skill you might add to your toolbox to successfully address the acute or chronic problem at hand. I have extensive experience in the field of social work which I bring to my work with clients. I have practiced in settings involving mental health, medical illness, hospice, and palliative care, and have taught graduate social work. I am familiar with all matter of chronic and acute illnesses, mental health disorders and their attendant psychosocial issues. I recognize that it is not easy to take the step you have taken to find a therapist. When you choose someone to work with, you want to make sure that it is someone who “feels right,” with whom, “you click.” Therefore, I offer a ½ hour telephonic (or FaceTime) session at no charge so you can determine if we are a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.
