So, you've decided to get into therapy for yourself! You have entered in to the therapy room and nervous about whether the therapist will be able to get down to your level to understand what you are currently going through. Do you have struggles with big life changes, anxious of where to begin, and could be feeling unsure of where to start? You would want a thearpist to help guide them through their struggles free of judgment, loads of empathy, and the ability to see their problems in a different light. I think I can help, even with a joke or two thrown in! I tend to focus on symptoms in regards to the present moment. With clients, I work with mindfulness techniques to help with current symtpoms that occur in their thought processes or within their bodies. Once the client becomes more self aware and can better focus on the present, together we can tackle the future. Sometimes reaching out and asking for help seems defeating and dehumanizing. Society makes it seems like we need to have it all figured out. In all reality, we don't have it figured out and that's okay! I hope that with me as your potential therapist, you can realize your worth and take on future life hurdles with ease. Big and loud emotions are encouraged!
