About

I have been an LMFT since 1993. During that time I've had both education and experience with many of the issues we encounter as we pass through our lives. Couples, individuals and teens are the majority of my practice. We work on relationship problems, divorce and co-parenting, anxiety and depression and parent-child problems. I also have training and experience working with clients with sexual concerns and Active Duty Military, families and Veterans. I am currently accepting telephonic and video clients in Oregon. Telehealth has been extensively researched and found to have similar positive results as face-to-face.

When working with couples I essentially follow the Gottman method which stresses communication and skill building. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on how our thinking determines behavior. By examining thoughts and finding ways to change negative beliefs we can alter our behaviors and improve mood, emotions and responses to stress.

I am "seeing" clients exclusively by phone and video. This offers you more flexibility with appointment scheduling and gives you the option of not having to travel to an office for your therapy appointments. If you think this might work for you feel free to call for a phone consultation to see if telehealth would be a good fit for you.
