As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals, couples and families. I have experience working with individuals aged 18 and older exhibiting diverse mental health issues and life challenges such as depression, anxiety, relational issues, occupational stressors, domestic violence and addictive behaviors. I honestly believe that it requires a lot from an individual to overcome his/her vulnerability in seeking help. I try my best to honor the lived experiences of the people I serve by being sensitive to their socio-economic status, family of origin issues, cultural and spiritual values as they unfold in therapy. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy commonly abbreviated as EMDR. EMDR has been proven to be especially effective for individuals struggling with any kind of acute or chronic trauma. My therapeutic style can be described as direct, straightforward, warm and compassionate. I am an insightful and reflective listener. I use a mindfulness based solution focused approach in helping clients improve their confidence and feel empowered.
