I bring experience working with a broad range of individuals, from adolescents to older adults, including those who are seeking mental health treatment for the first time as well as those more familiar with the positive life changes that can be achieved through therapy. I have worked with patients experiencing a wide range of issues, such as depression and anxiety, major life transitions, grief and loss, work, family and relationship stress, complex trauma (abuse, neglect, exposure to violence) ,as well as those coping with severe mental illness, and addiction. Though I have been trained in a wide variety of treatment modalities (e.g. CBT, DBT, ACT and psychodynamic/relational therapy), I have always considered myself an integrative, person-centered clinician. My philosophical perspective in therapy has remained steadfast in believing that you are the expert on your own life. My focus in therapy is to honor your own personal values in order to best help you resolve conflicts, heal from emotional wounds, and overcome barriers that prevent you from emotional growth. Together we will pursue personal goals, develop new insights, and ultimately recognize the strength you have within yourself to live a richer, more authentic life.
