About

All of us, at one time or another are faced with life issues that may require the assistance of a professional. Often, it is a sign of strength to be able to know when to ask for help. I will work with you in a respectful and caring environment to assist you in identifying your unique strengths as well as your challenges so that as a team we can work towards problem resolution as well as improving your overall quality of life. I also have significant experience and training working with couples of all orientations.

I have over 25 years of experience in the mental health field assisting individuals and couples cope with depression, anxiety and other mood disorders; substance abuse; relationship issues; parenting, divorce and blended families; bereavement and life transitions. I am certified to work with couples using IMAGO relationship therapy.

Although I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, I take an eclectic approach and do not discount other modalities that may be helpful and in which I have training and experience. The difference between counseling and psychotherapy is that psychotherapy is researched based. That important for people to know when seeking a professional therapist.
