About

I help people to feel more engaged and fulfilled in their lives. I will help you to understand and change unhealthy patterns of behaving that you have developed because that is how you've always done things. I am particularly interested in the intergenerational transmission of trauma that can accompany those that immigrate from other countries, and how our social and cultural milieus create systems that contribute to a feeling of otherness.

I am specifically trained to listen carefully and pay attention to verbal and nonverbal communication. I strive to develop a trusting relationship with patients so that they feel safe to explore a range of emotions that are often kept under cover. Through talking, thinking and being curious together, you can be a happier person.

Through our work together we will create an environment in which we can think about thoughts and feelings, identify maladaptive patterns, and develop new strategies and ways of coping. I am a cis gendered, heterosexual woman with South American immigrant parents and welcome the opportunity to work with people of all backgrounds and identities.
