About

There are a lot of things that happen within us while we engage in our normal day to day lives. From our physiological processes to our mental and emotional processes. We spend a great deal functioning completely unaware of our internal world. Interestingly enough it is what’s inside of us that is the precursor to our behaviors and physical health condition. As a psychodynamic therapist I aim to help you come into contact with your inner person or what I refer to as your inner child. I review your childhood history to make sense of your current challenges. A lot of the ways we think and behave come from childhood learnings.

Using Cognitive Behavioral therapy I analyze your thought systems, core beliefs, and ideas in effort to teach you how they drive your emotions, reactions, and behaviors. The goal of this treatment is to show you when you have maladaptive thinking at work and to activate new ways of thinking. Healthier ways of thinking produces healthier behaviors.

I come with a warm personality, interested in your story, and ready to dig deep. I listen, validate, and I challenge. My goal is to activate your critical thinking skills, help you gain insight, and help you access unconscious material that may be in the form of forgotten or repressed memories that need attention. Everything you have experienced has value.
