I am Rosalyn Williams, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I approach therapy from the perspective of the client is the driver and I am the passenger. I have done a great deal of work with survivors of trauma, primarily sexual assault and domestic violence. I strongly believe in using Evidence-based practices as a means of providing support to clients. I am a proponent of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Processing (EMDR), and Preschool and Youth PTSD Treat (PPT/YPT). I have experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, such as military members, survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and members of rural and urban communities. I have worked with children and adults throughout my career. My therapy sessions are like meaningful conversations. I like to create an environment that clients feel is judgement free and emotionally safe. My clients, even if they have no experience with therapy or unhealthy experiences in the past, usually end the session with "that wasn't bad and I'm coming back."
