My therapy approach is collaborative, client-centered, trauma informed, and prioritizes the therapeutic relationship. Clients are typically motivated; We work together for change withinternal and/or external events that increase anxiety/fears, stress, panic, and interfere with sleep, relationships, goals, and self care. Clients often want to understand what is happening and why. Additionally, we work to explore practical tools and coping strategies. We also examine ways to process losses and integrate these experiences that continue impact their lives. Treating anxiety, PTSD, loss, relationships complexities, and isolation requires a multitude of interventions and approaches. This includes new understandings, conceptualizing the whole person, not just symptoms, new perspectives, and new tools to utilize. We work toward growth and personal development, work in therapy has to be put in on both sides. It can be difficult to reach out for help. Trust and comfort are built over time. It has been my honor over the years to be witness to thousands of unique and individual stories of those who needed active listening, nonjudgmental presence, and a curious approach with honest intentions order to feel comfortable enough to make changes in therapy.
