About

My intention as a psychotherapist is to create a safe and supportive environment in which people can learn and share more about themselves, and in so doing, ease their suffering and create possibilities of positive movement and change in their lives. My work is grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach. I am attuned to building a respectful, collaborative relationship, and bring an awareness of the deep impact of the past on people's present lives. My practice is diverse, with specialization in trauma focused psychotherapy and couples therapy.

I received my MSW from Smith College and hold a part time faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. My other trainings and certificate programs include: post-graduate fellowship at the Victims of Violence program, hypnotherapy externship, sensory-motor psychotherapy, EMDR, IFS, mindfulness & couples treatment training.

My style as a psychotherapist is collaborative and empathic. I look forward to having the opportunity to learn about your reasons for seeking therapy, and to then craft with you an approach that best suits your needs. Please feel free to call to set up an initial consultation.
