I am a Licensed Psychologist in private practice and an Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School. I have over 25 years experience working with couples and individuals, and providing training and consultation to other therapists. I specialize in helping distressed, high-conflict and/or emotionally distant couples. I also specialize in helping people cope with stress and anxiety, as well as depression, other types of emotional distress, and physical problems that often accompany stress. My approach is both practical and flexible. Based on your needs, I integrate research-based Gottman methods (I am a certified Gottman Method couples therapist) with Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), as well as psychodynamic/insight, cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and family systems approaches. My personal style is active, warm and collaborative. I greatly enjoy helping couples and individuals, and find it very gratifying to help them to improve their communication and conflict management skills, revitalize and deepen their relationships, and improve their lives. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have and to talk with you about couples or individual therapy.
