As humans we have an immense power in our ability to gain insight into our own thoughts, feelings, and actions. However, we often get so caught up in our everyday activities that we are unable to fully understand what is happening on an intrapersonal level. Psychotherapy provides the opportunity to gain this insight, and make changes based upon what we learn, using effective strategies that have emerged from decades of research. As a psychologist, I will work with you in a collaborative process to identify how to best support you in addressing identified issues of concern. Whether you are seeking assistance in managing depression, anxiety, relationship distress, and/or occupational stress, I am confident that we will be able to create a tailored plan to help achieve your goals. I value working with people from all backgrounds. In particular, I have advanced experience in helping LGBTQIA individuals better their mental health. I am competent in assisting transgender and nonbinary individuals pursuing medical transition, including writing letters desired by some surgeons for people undergoing gender-affirming surgery.
