We live in a world that is becoming increasingly unmanageable and overwhelming, but it does not have to be this way. My belief is that anyone can more effectively navigate this world with the right tools and the right support. Rather than looking at any of these difficulties as a sign of weakness, a cornerstone of my practice is helping people understand that the struggles they face are rooted in unmet psychological needs. By responding more compassionately to these unmet needs, it becomes so much easier to navigate the ups and downs of daily life. In my practice, I like to balance the implementation of tools and a shift in how one looks at the world to enact lasting change that allows for people to live more meaningful lives that provide a sense of fulfillment and purpose. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), grief/loss, and issues with problematic substance use. I also often work with clients struggling to make sense of major life changes. Prior to individual practice,I worked for behavioral health centers serving clients struggling with severe and persistent depression
