I am a practical, interactive therapist. My treatment approach incorporates insight, humor, and compassion for clients as they work to uncover and utilize their own unique resources, strengths, and abilities. Using a strengths-based perspective, I employ Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and client-centered methodologies uniquely tailored to each client's goals and needs. I encourage clients to think about successes in their lives, no matter how seemingly "small." I believe that acknowledging every success facilitates belief in the possibility of enacting change. Giving yourself credit for each small step can make achieving your ultimate goal feel more attainable. I consider it an honor to work with each client and provide a safe environment that enables growth, healing, insight, and hope for the future. My particular areas of expertise include working with individuals struggling with addiction, as well as clients negatively impacted by the addiction of someone close to them. I also have interest and experience in helping those with co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, and life transitions such as divorce, job change, or mid-life issues.
