You’re tired of not feeling well, but hesitate to reach out to a therapist: Can I trust a stranger? Can anyone really help me? On the surface, you function well in life, but deep down, you feel like you’re not truly “showing up” or that you don’t fully “belong.” It’s as if your authentic self is hiding, sensing that being fully you might not be safe. There may be parts of your life story that explain why you feel uncomfortable, different from others, or weighed down by anxiety or sadness. I would love to work with you in therapy to explore these issues and help you improve your daily life experience. After many years of providing individual & couples therapy, I find that an individually-tailored approach to each client, integrating a variety of well-studied methods works best. I combine this with honest talk, touching the pain, laughing, and helping you connect with your strengths. My ultimate goal is to help you experience the freedom to be you. My specialties include working with immigrants / foreigners, and people who identify as LGBTQ+. I also have much experience with therapy to college and graduate students. Values of Diversity-Equity-Inclusion are central to my work. Though it may feel scary to call a therapist, know that I am here to help you! Check my website for more information.
