Which primary experience in life usually has the most impact on us? Relationships. If you uncover the source of most problems in living, childhood relationships and the resulting psychological fallout are at the root. Recognizing you are struggling with something is the beginning step in a courageous journey towards changing it. Without judgment, I will support you on that journey as you learn to understand the origins of your problems, and how to make changes for greater life satisfaction. I encourage you to respect, rather than fear, your problems as a signal to seek help. We will work together towards your goals. I am a psychotherapist with 32 years' experience in treating adults who seek to break through self-defeating patterns. I use the modalities of individual therapy as well as couples therapy. I focus on all relationship challenges, and those that are particular to step- and blended families, as well as the wrenching experience of divorce. From 2002-2009, I was on the training faculty of the Beth Israel Department of Psychiatry. I have been a Supervisor in both Individual and Group Training at the Postgraduate Center, and led a program treating people in the arts, a continued focus, in addition to treating people in all walks of life.
