You have started to notice how this is taxing you emotionally and physically. You no longer enjoy doing the things that made you happy. Recognizing these feelings is the beginning of the change you want to see happen in your life. How do you make the changes? Where do you begin? Providing a safe space where you can be yourself and let down your guard in a judgement free zone begins with finding a therapist who help you with your needs. I specialize in depression, anxiety, substance use disorder, as well as conduct related disorder. I also work with clients who may need career counseling or confidence building. My approach to counseling is to meet the client where they are. Person centered approach with motivational interviewing utilizing cognitive based therapy. Building rapport and trust require a commitment from the therapist as well as the client. This happens with empathy, honesty, respect and open mindedness.
