About

I am a counselor at a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) clinic that is a certified intensive outpatient program (IOP). The people I work with have a variety of diagnoses (borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma), and what they all have in common in they are looking for help in developing the skills they need to live a stable, enjoyable life where they can focus on things other than their mental health. DBT has the motto of creating a life worth living, in a way that focuses on skillfulness instead of willfulness. I understand that what people need are the skills and support to achieve their goals.

Helping people feel empowered to live a life worth living is my priority, so I use a collaborative, supportive, and validating approach in counseling to help people learn skills to live the life of their choosing. I am a DBT- and trauma-informed counselor who uses motivational interviewing, parts work, CBT, and other tools to help clients reach their goals.

Looking for help is the first step in getting the tools you need to reach your mental health goals. I look forward to working with you to identify areas of growth and help use skills to become who you want to be.
