I feel that one of the biggest gifts I have been given is the opportunity to work alongside individuals in their respective life journeys. I value the whole person, respect individual and cultural diversity, and view psychotherapy as a supportive, healing element to people's lives. I identify primarily from an Interpersonal perspective, placing heavy emphasis on the power of relationships. Whether talking about relation to self, family and friends, or significant others, I believe that much of how we experience the world (and its hardships) can be shaped by the meaningful and complicated experiences we have with others. I enjoy working with a broad range of issues and populations but have experience with: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Issues; Transgender & Gender Non-Conforming issues; HIV/AIDS; Chronic Illness; Racial Minority Stress issues; Men and Masculinity issues; College Student Transitions; Trauma and Resilience; and Psychotherapy with Mental Health Practitioners. Although I have been primarily trained to provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, I also have experience with a variety of psychological assessment needs. I have completed comprehensive evaluations for: Learning Disorders (reading, math, writing); ADHD; Refugee, Asylum, and Deportation; Disability; and general Personality Assessment.
