About

The positive benefits of a therapeutic relationship include self-understanding and self-acceptance, emotional balance, resolution of past hurts, freedom from guilt and shame, empathy, healthy dependency, contentment, a sense of wholeness, and empowerment to give and receive love deeply. I have the training and experience to help people achieve these benefits and in the process overcome roadblocks like depression or anxiety, negative self-talk, grief and loss, destructive relationship patterns, marital distress, sexual struggles, and various types of trauma.

Though not certified, I have advanced training and supervision in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT), a warm, respectful and scientifically proven method for helping a couple enrich the quality of their relationship through the development of a secure emotional bond. I focus on dealing with the couple's unique history and present realities.

Studies show that the therapeutic relationship is the most important predictor of a positive outcome in counseling. I offer a FREE 30 minute consultation in which we can get to know one another and make sure that we are a good fit. All sessions are conducted through a TeleMental Health modality.
