About

Counseling is a way to discover how we can live with our past, live in the present, and face an uncertain future daily. Most of us, given the time and information, and someone to talk with, could figure out how to manage the things that are challenging for us. Counseling helps us learn how to manage our emotions and find ways to face daily challenges. Through counseling we can learn the skills to manage our strong emotions, as well as have empathy for ourselves and others in dealing with tough life situations. I especially like supporting young children and their parents.

I provide therapy to all ages, including including preschool children, pre-teens, and teens and adults. I use a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Trauma-Focused, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and play therapy. I also have experience in working with trauma, suicidality, and self-harm.

My specialties include anxiety, depression, ADHD, LGBTQ+, trauma and PTSD, neurodivergent, behavioral issues, First Responders, Veterans, and parenting issues. I appreciate those who can reach out for help in learning new skills and new ways of dealing with their situations. I try to foster a respectful, accepting, and supportive therapeutic relationship.
