My approach to counseling is to create a safe space for people to discuss their challenges and move toward a brighter future. I practice from the perspective of recognizing each person’s individual strengths and unique gifts as I assist them with processing feelings and recognizing thought patterns which may be hindering their ability to live their best life. As a trauma-informed therapist, my approach is non-judgmental and collaborative. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT techniques to support the process of positive change, and I am certified in both The Circle of Security and Triple P parenting interventions, which address attachment and bonding and discipline. The purpose of my practice is to 'come along side' of the people who reach out for assistance and help them to begin to see all the possibilities they can embrace.
