About

Rachel is a Psychotherapist/Licensed Social Worker with over a decade of experience. In her work with both individuals and couples, Rachel draws from trauma-focused, cognitive, and psychodynamic methods. She believes that through the development of the therapeutic alliance, deep healing is possible. She works with client’s facing a range of issues—including Panic Disorders, Eating Disorders, sexual trauma, addiction, sexual dysfunction, relationship issues, childhood/attachment disorders, as well as providing guidance through life-transitions, relationships issues, and everyday stressors that can lead to circular thinking.

She supports clients in gaining insight into the root of their trauma and assists them in eliminating the negative thinking patterns that cause mental/emotional distress. With her individual clients, Rachel specializes in multi-diagnoses. She utilizes Intensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to engage negative thoughts. This method assists in disengaging

obsessive or intrusive thoughts that may arrive, unannounced, in the wake of big life events, and works to change clients’ relationship with trauma. When she works with couples, Rachel works to get her clients to communicate more effectively, to love more deeply, and to understand what has always felt impossible to understand.
