About

I'm Rachel Friedman. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe it is crucial people have an opportunity to be heard in a judgment-free relationship in order to heal. I use a mix of approaches and tailor them to what may best serve the client. If the client indicates interest in a particular modality I will also accommodate that. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Hard Reduction Strategies, and Psychoanalysis. I am trained in other approaches too though.

I am comfortable treating depressive disorders and anxiety disorders. I am also comfortable with PTSD and Agoraphobia. There are many other disorders I am comfortable treating though, including but not limited to ADHD/ADD, Trauma and stressor-related disorders, and gender dysphoria.

I strive to provide a judgment-free space. I like for sessions to feel casual in the sense that the client feels they can comfortably share updates from week to week in a way that feels natural for them. I show the clients positive regard and like to use a strengths-based perspective.
