"All change is loss, and all loss must be mourned." This quote by Harry Levenson normalizes the feelings we all have when big changes occur, even good ones. I provide a safe, supportive environment for you to examine recent life events and their impact on you and your relationships. The therapy relationship is of primary importance to me. Together, we can formulate some coping strategies to address your current difficulties. I seek to help you make connections between the past and the present so that you can create the future you want. I have a special interest in working with young adults, women, and new mothers with depression and anxiety. I have additional training in perinatal mental health issues, especially perinatal losses, including infertility, miscarriage, and termination for medical reasons. I also work with sexual assault and trauma survivors. My goal is to create an environment in which you feel heard and respected so that you may work toward increasing self-awareness and making positive changes. I believe that therapy works when the client and therapist can form a trusting and collaborative relationship.
