About

I believe most individuals are much stronger than they realize, and possess an inner wisdom and resilience from which they are currently disconnected. Life is hard. And it is perfectly normal to struggle with anxiety, depression, and stress when facing upheavals and transitions. Tremendous change and growth is often possible through adjustments in lifestyle and thinking patterns, and the tapping into inner resources that are presently underutilized.

I enjoy collaborating with clients to identify both short-term and long-term goals, and creating methods for achieving them through the use of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and principles of mindfulness such as self-acceptance, self-compassion, and non-judgment.

My goal when working with clients is to help them identify and strengthen inner resources based upon personal values. These then become powerful, permanent allies as they navigate their journey through life. As a counselor, playing a role in this journey is a pleasure and an honor.
