I guide Christians through the pain of their past so they can live in peace and joy in the present. I am a Licensed Pastoral Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am the Director of Good Shepherd Recovery House for men and Ruth House Ministries for women. My husband and I pastor Ministry House (a Recovery-based church) and Celebrate Recovery (Christian 12-Step Program). Addiction, depression, anxiety, anger and other issues began as survival coping mechanisms that eventually turned into destructive habits. I help people establish boundaries with others as they learn that they are important, loved and accepted, regardless of what anyone else says. I have yet to meet someone in pain who was not a victim of some type of abuse. That's why I focus on helping people heal the memories of their painful pasts, and make new adult decisions about how they want to live life from hereon out.
