About

I work with clients from their 20s to their 60s and beyond. Many come to me struggling with relationships, careers, and difficulty coping with transitions, loss, and change. With more than 30 years of experience, I have helped many clients come to understand how their own beliefs, experiences and behaviors have contributed to their unhappiness. Through our work together, many have forged new, satisfying relationships, made better friends, saved faltering marriages, discovered fulfilling jobs and even new careers. I especially enjoy working with college and graduate school students, as well as with young adults dealing with the challenges of transitioning to the world of work.

In addition to my many years as a psychotherapist, I have training and experience in the field of the performing arts. I have successfully treated many musicians, singers, and actors, both aspiring and professional, for issues including performance anxiety, among others.

I am a passionate owner of Bichon Frisé dogs, and sometimes have one of them with me in my practice. (With client's prior permission, of course.) Clients are also welcome to bring their dog to sessions with them. (Sorry, I'm desperately allergic to cats.)
