We all sometimes face challenges in life that we just can't resolve on our own. It might be a transition in your life that has brought unexpected trials: adulthood, marriage or divorce. raising a family, children leaving home, caring for your aging parents, the loss of a loved one, or facing your own aging and mortality. It might be a conflict in a relationship. Or it might be more of an internal struggle giving rise to anxiety, depression, or struggles with self-defeating behaviors. A fresh perspective can make all the difference. I work with both couples and individuals, providing expertise gained from 40 years' experience. I am an analytic therapist who listens in a layered way, tuning into underlying patterns and meanings you may be unaware of. I pay attention equally to the reality of your everyday life as well as your internal world, both conscious and unconscious. At the same time I will draw on any additional therapeutic modalities that can add to our understanding. Every client is unique and complex. My aim is to work with you collaboratively to help you to understand yourself as fully as possible in the context of your current life and ensure you are psychologically free as possible to live as fully and creatively as you can.
