Life has its ups and downs, ins and outs, mountains, plateaus, and valleys, and sometimes you just need someone to talk to. Is it a loss, feeling anxious, depressed, unaccepted, overwhelmed or fragile. Are some of these things holding you back? Together we can learn coping skills, healthy ways of living, and how to move forward in your life. I use a compassionate, non- judgmental, understanding, strength based approach by acknowledging and welcoming your whole person, body, mind, and spirit. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities. For example: I use the expressive arts to discover underlying themes and issues in your life. I use body or somatic therapy to find out what we hold onto in our bodies, and learning body (somatically) focused ways to cope. I can help you with new coping skills to work through challenges. I understand that we are live in challenging times, and because of this have normal and additional stress in our lives. I know what it's like to be marginalized; discriminated against; unwanted; unaccepted, even of yourself. I am a survivor of depression, and the trauma of living in this world as a gay man. Learning more healthier ways of living is vital.
