About

While I join most therapists in providing a safe, free flowing, and non-judgmental space to simply talk - something we certainly all need - I also collaborate with clients to develop more active sessions for lasting change in their lives. This includes goal setting, homework, guided imagery, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and other evidence based practices. I specialize working with anxiety / panic attacks, depression, anger, shame, addiction, men’s issues, adolescents, adhd, identity/values formation, and pessimism. I also help with relationship issues, including communication, infidelity, and anger / forgiveness.

In my practice I put an emphasis on genuinely understanding and relating to my clients and their unique cases. Additionally, I use several therapeutic modalities. I'm certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (NYU), and have advanced training in Schema Therapy (ISST) and Emotion Focused Therapy (CCEFT). I'm also a Certified Trauma Professional (IATP).

Before my career as a therapist, I worked in sociology research, conflict resolution, and socio-emotional curric development. After completing my Fulbright (Indonesia) and MSc in Sociology of Education (Oxford), I worked with non-profits in post-conflict contexts in Uganda, Bosnia, and India, and then schools, camps, and other programs across the East Coast.
