Throughout my 25 years as a therapist, I have focused on issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, self harm, suicidal thoughts, and oppositional/defiance. Many of my clients also describe themselves as Neurodivergent. No matter what the issues may be, I find that people often start therapy because they feel stuck and are seeking ways to move forward. We work together to develop concrete goals such as making a new friend or just getting out of bed everyday. Other clients in my practice are searching for a safe place to work through their pain. Whatever your starting place, you are welcome here. My treatment model is integrative; while I use cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and motivational interviewing models, I adjust to the needs of each client. I help clients identify what brought them in for therapy and help them create achievable goals. I tend to have a laid back and approachable stye that puts clients at ease and leads to change. People often think about trying therapy. However, the hardest part can be making that first email or having that first conversation. It is very important for me to create a safe space and unconditional acceptance. I hope you will reach out to me even if you feel nervous or unsure of what therapy is all about. It's my job to help you through the process.
