My areas of expertise include relational concerns, anxiety/depression, emotion regulation, young-adult development and life transitions (moves, school/career, divorce/separation, etc.) Interpersonal difficulties with repetitive arguments, communication and messaging, lack of understanding, stonewalling/withdrawal, infidelity, difficulty navigating needs and expectations. Together we will identify patterns, stressors, the role of beliefs, goals and emotions in motivating behavior. Life comes with problems, and success is dependent on navigating the ups and downs. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years experience. I provide individual, and couples' therapy. I also enjoy working with a clientele of other clinicians. I am a team player and involved leader that will both support & challenge you in making sense of the concerns that you bring to therapy. I once had a partner of a couple I was seeing describe me as a "no-nonsense counselor": he explained this to mean that I was forthright, quick to get to the heart of the matter, yet empathic in my approach. It helps to develop an understanding of problems & identify options that will give us a little more control in our lives. I get it. We can do it.
