As a therapist and a person, I value authenticity over “perfection,” and I value honest conflict over dishonest harmony. For this reason, I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are interested in uncovering their truth. There are many reasons why people may lose connection to themselves, their own needs, goals, and strengths. Whether it is due to mental illness, addiction, codependency, trauma, abuse, grief, conflicting societal pressures or rules, there are ways to work through it. You are not alone and you are capable of the change you seek. I utilize a mixture of therapeutic modalities that are personalized to the individual and their circumstances. These include narrative, existential, psychodynamic, DBT, ACT, CBT and more. I have experience working with trauma, trans/gender issues, LGBTQIA+, addictions, anxiety, depression and neurodivergence. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I know that a trusting therapeutic relationship is built from a therapist’s ability to dependably provide non-judgmental company, empathetic understanding, thoughtful challenges, and informed, practical guidance. No matter the individual circumstances that bring a client to session, I do my best to ensure they are met with honesty, respect and understanding.
