Throughout our lives, painful losses and traumatic experiences can build up, affecting our daily functioning and emotional well-being. Psychotherapy offers a path to deeper self-awareness, helping you uncover how early traumas impact your relationships, self-perception, and the way you engage with the world around you. As a West Indian therapist of color, I bring a unique perspective rooted in a deep understanding of historical and cultural influences that shape "who we are" as individuals and as a community. I am dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space for you to explore important issues such as acculturation and identity. While I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches I am certified in two highly effective trauma-focused therapies: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Both methods have been proven to be successful in treating complex trauma. I am experienced in addictions, infidelity, infertility, grief and loss. As an experienced psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker, I am committed to guiding you toward healing and growth. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Barry University in 2009, and since then, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate their unique journeys through trauma and life challenges.
