Life is complicated! Let's untangle it. With over 18 years in the mental health field, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families with all backgrounds and experiences. I believe that people have the tools they need to make changes in their own lives, and I work with my clients to discover those tools. I like to look beyond routine interactions and patterns that make clients "stuck" and helps clients discover strengths and new ways of relating to others. Clients have described me as compassionate, progressive, non-judgmental, and as a "gentle challenger." I have doctorate-level teaching and supervising experience, and have spoken at national and international conferences on a wide variety of topics in the mental health field. I have acted in editorial capacities for academic journals, dissertations, books and magazines, and guest-appeared on podcasts and television show. As a state board-approved and AAMFT-approved supervisor, I am passionate about supervising and mentoring other therapists to help them help others. I am currently seeing clients via telehealth (virtually).
