Does your child have big emotions, anger, worries, or behaviors that you are struggling to understand? Has your child been through something difficult or just isn’t acting like themselves? If your child is expressing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or unexplained difficulties, a play-based model allows a safe environment to explore their feelings and needs affecting healthy functioning. I specialize in using a genuine, non-judgmental, supportive approach to helping children and families develop new ways of thinking and feeling, as well as learning new sets of skills for making choices and having healthier relationships. Through the process of therapy, young clients can develop a better understanding of themselves and their feelings, learn to be creative problem solvers, and be empowered to make changes in their life. I use a variety of evidence-based techniques appropriate for a child’s age and developmental level to facilitate their emotional growth. I am passionate about working with children and families to find the most effective tools to strengthen relationships, gain relief from current stressors, build comfort with big emotions, and help children find acceptance for who they are. I look forward to supporting you and your family on the path to better mental health.
