Welcome! My name is Nicki Holtzman and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 32 years of clinical experience here in Texas. I typically work with adults and teens who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Additionally, I have experience working with divorce, abuse, and transgender issues. Using skills training and cognitive behavioral approaches, I help clients reframe their situations. With problem solving and processing feelings in a safe, therapeutic environment clients can learn effective ways of coping. I love helping people and encouraging people to be the best versions of themselves. I create an environment that is warm and feels safe. I am very down to earth and clients find it easy to interact with me. I am not afraid to ask the hard questions, and I am respectful of what those answers may be. Early on, I ask the client what is important to them, what would they like to work on, and what they hope to achieve from counseling. I feel that we all have the innate ability to heal ourselves, we just need some guidance. Helping people reach their best version of themselves is what inspires me and I am looking forward to helping you on your mental health journey.
