Negar Ehsani earned her B.A. in Justice Studies in 2010 with a minor in Women's Studies from James Madison University and received her Master's degree in Social Work in 2013 from George Mason University. She is currently in her second year with LifeStance Health as a Supervisee in Clinical Social Work. Previously, Negar worked with children, adolescents and adults in state and local government settings for nine years, notably working with adult survivors of domestic and sexual violence in the community and at a local community college. Negar is an advocate for LGBTQAI rights and specializes in working with marginalized populations impacted by social and systemic discrimination. Negar uses Feminist Theory, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, elements of DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Humanistic approaches to create welcoming, non-judgmental and validating therapeutic relationships with her clients.
